The international goose

All hail GooseTOR!

Today I axed my meta search engine Goosle. As I wrote a couple of months ago, I didn't care to fix it anymore. Mostly because of broken features, seemingly broken crawlers and nothing really worked reliable.

But, I do still want a good way to do torrent searches though, so I re-wrote Goosle into something better.

Feeding on the things I learned from GooseRSS, and using the same code structure, I have created a better, more lean, more mean and more functional Meta Search Engine. I named it GooseTOR.

This new project will follow the same philosophy (or whatever you call it) as GooseRSS. That being, I will not release numbered updates for it. I will not accept pull requests or feature requests either. It's on Github to preserve my work and it just happens to be public so you and everyone can use it as well. I don't plan on providing much support for it either.

That said, GooseTOR works pretty good. It's set up like a real tool everyone can use. And I think it looks pretty. I believe I fixed all of the obvious issues and have been using it for a few days without generating any errors in the servers error log.

I will be updating GooseTOR from time to time, treat it as a passion project. And if it works for you too that's cool as well.

Yay \o/
