The first bedroom is painted

A quick update on the renovations. I have since moved on to the main house, for now at-least. And my mother has started on painting the apartments.
The first bedroom turned out nice using 'cotton-white' for the walls.
I ran into more issues with apartment 4, the lowered ceiling that I assumed was there as a heat layer turned out to be a bit of a coverup. There is no 'good' concrete ceiling above it. As if they ran out of concrete when building the whole structure or something. I can't really tell why from the few small holes I cut into the sheetrock.
The previous owners didn't mention any of this to me. Nor did they give a sensible answer when asked earlier this week.
The ceiling is there for aesthetic purposes.
Well, geez, genius... Really? What are you covering up? But they insist they didn't know about what's above it either.
Anyway, when I attempted to re-do some wiring in there nothing would go the way I wanted. All the wires are either stuck or so short that I can't get a grip on it through the sheetrock. So I gave up for now and started work on the main house.
It's a 70-ish year old house that got electricity added later on. Also one of the bathrooms was built much more recently. This went about as expected - Everything is broken and breaks even furhter the more you look at it. Let alone touch things.
The one AC in the house and the main water heater had their wires cut for some reason. No idea why, but those don't work anymore. I've since replaced most of the wiring with new-fresh stuff and added a earth wire everywhere. Make things a little more safe...
I've been chasing wire routes and keep finding weirdly placed junction boxes that serve no purpose other than to avoid making bends. most are cemented over and then painted so it's really hard to find. And they must be opened if I want to replace the wiring. Several conduits in the ceiling are so kinked, I think, that nothing moves in them. So that will be replaced with wall ducts. And I've wired up most of the front patio. Added a few wall sockets, attached a fan to the wall and some more things that we want in there.
Next week we'll meet with the architect and construction company to start tackling the upper floor. And I'm going to replace and move the main load center for downstairs.
