The rain season has started

Yesterday the sky turned steel grey and dropped a million billion cubic liters per minute, for about 20 minutes. So of-course, Mexico being Mexico there is no water management anywhere other than the odd drainage channel or stormdrain, emptying into the usually dry river that happens to run through the city. And since this only happens a few times every year, the local authorities still didn't build a proper bridge for the two main roads into the city.
Yep, chaos!
People charging through the water for fun. Some being more careful, or turning around. There is a bridge a few kilometers south from where I was. Others getting stuck in the middle. Someone thought he could make it with his scooter and promptly lost his balance and drowned the engine. A car ended up in the ditch and needed to be pushed out. And in general, nobody really cares about any of it.
It never stops being a fascinating sight!
